　　下面请看阅读文章中的一个长难句：

　　In addition，the human capital theory explains why there was a high concentration of women workers in certain low-skill jobs，such as weaving，but not in others，such as combing or carding，by positing that because of their primary responsibility in child rearing women took occupations that could be carried out in the home.

　　从形式上看，本句有以下特点：(1)共计59个单词，句子较长;(2)有两个原因解释(explains why…和because of…);(3)In addition表示顺序逻辑;(4)such as…but not in others…比较对象容易混淆…

　　为了更好地理清楚上句的关系，请参考下面思维导图对句子逻辑结构的分析：

　　下面，请解答以下题目：

　　1. The passage suggests that combing and carding differ from weaving in that combing and carding were

　　A. low-skill jobs performed primarily by women employees

　　B. low-skill jobs that were not performed in the home

　　解析：B

　　根据思维导图的结构可知，combing和carding前面的but not in others, “others”应该是other low-skill jobs。根据语法简洁的原则，当前文出现过后，避免重复，可以将low-skill jobs省略掉。根据思维导图，考生就可以理清句子内部的逻辑关系，避免主观地认为combing和carding 是low-skill jobs。

　　另外，根据题干in that和句子because of等价，所以从阅读层面看，此时要重点突破句子“their primary responsibility in child rearing women took occupations that could be carried out in the home”，可以知道，因为女性主要的责任是照顾孩子，所以只能做一些在家里做的的工作。

　　最后，集合语法和阅读，从逻辑层面看，女性只能在家里做一些低技能的工作。故而，答案选B选项。

　　从题目形式可知，本题是一道削弱题。做逻辑削弱题时，请务必要找到文章的C (conclusion)和P(premise)。

　　A: 即使女性的工作时间非常灵活，以至于女性能到家庭之外做工她们也不出去，削弱了是孩子导致女性不能出去做工。

　　B: 父母不太可能教授女性一些工作技能，这与当时的社会传统是一致的。另外，如果女性没有工作技能，她们只能在家里做一些低技能的工作。所以，B选项是对原文结论的加强。

　　C: 从事有偿劳动的女性人数增加了，这里的有偿劳动并没提及是高技能还是低技能。如果是参考高技能的女性人数增加了，这是对原文结论的削弱;反之亦然。因此，C选项无法判断。

　　D: 多数女性有孩子的话，她们主要的责任是照顾孩子。所以，她们只能在家里做一些低技能的工作。因此，D选项加强了原文的结论。

　　E: 从事高技能的女性人数很少，说明从事低技能的女性人数在增加。因此，E选项是对原文结论的加强。

　　从上面句子的分析，我们应该看到思维导图对梳理文章结构、句子内部逻辑，以及解析语法关系是至关重要的。因此，建议考生参考《GMAT阅读精讲精练——图解逻辑法》这本书练习思维导图解构逻辑关系。
